ADP has expanded its strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), affirming the cloud provider as its primary infrastructure partner to accelerate generative and agentic AI innovation across its human capital management (HCM) solutions.
The announcement builds on years of collaboration and positions AWS as the foundation for ADP's ongoing platform transformation serving more than 1.1 million clients across 140 countries and territories.

The expanded partnership focuses on four key areas. First, ADP is executing a strategic platform transformation on AWS, using agentic services such as AWS Transform and AWS Kiro to accelerate the migration of thousands of critical applications—including tax and payroll systems—to the cloud.
This cloud foundation enables ADP to deploy new AI capabilities more rapidly while maintaining enterprise-grade security and compliance standards across geographies.
Second, ADP Assist agents—built on AWS with Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore—serve as purpose-built intelligent assistants for employees, managers, and HR and payroll practitioners. These agents help automate tedious processes, identify and correct payroll anomalies, answer complex questions, and generate instant reports, all under human oversight.
Third, AWS cloud and AI technology powers ADP's award-winning Lyric HCM platform, which unifies global HR, payroll, talent, and workforce management. Through collaboration with AWS, ADP implemented a generative AI-driven client onboarding process that reduced certain critical steps by more than 50%.
Fourth, ADP leverages AWS to optimise the industry's largest workforce dataset—spanning 42 million wage earners worldwide and informed by 77 years of HR, payroll, and compliance expertise—into an intelligence foundation that powers AI HCM capabilities including ADP Assist and its AI agents.

The partnership builds on ADP's work with the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, a global team of strategists and scientists that helps companies design, build, and launch generative and agentic AI solutions. Financial terms of the expanded agreement were not disclosed.
