Dwight Klappich is a Research Vice President and Gartner Fellow in Gartner's Logistics and Customer Fulfillment team. His research focuses on the strategic role logistics plays in leading-edge SCM organisations and how SCM leaders' technology strategies and tactics are differentiated from their peers.
Klappich is a recognised authority on logistics technologies notably warehouse and fulfilment systems as. He also leads Gartner's Intralogistics Smart Robotics research. His primary focus is on the role that technology plays in transforming logistics operations.
Klappich was first to introduce the concept of supply chain convergence that looks at how companies should break down functional and systemic silos to orchestrate and optimise end-to-end processes.
