Juniper Networks launched what it markets as a secure AI-native edge solution, which integrates security and networking operations under a unified cloud platform. This new offering addresses the complexities and inefficiencies of traditional security measures in the digital landscape, where organisations face evolving cyber threats.
The Secure AI-Native Edge combines Juniper's Mist AI technology with robust security features, enabling quicker detection and resolution of network threats. By consolidating network and security functions, the solution aims to reduce operational silos that can hinder performance and productivity. The integration includes Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN), security assurance, and Network Access Control (NAC), all managed through a common cloud interface.
Key to this solution is the Mist Security Assurance software subscription, which allows administrators to manage user authentication and application access policies through a single dashboard. This centralised approach enhances visibility and control over security measures, facilitating the enforcement of unified policies across the network.
Juniper claims that its integrated SRX security features have demonstrated exceptional efficacy, achieving a score of over 99% in the recent Cyber Ratings Enterprise Firewall test. This assessment evaluates critical factors such as zero-day threat detection and malware response times. The solution also employs advanced threat intelligence and machine learning to identify and mitigate both known and unknown threats in real-time.
