Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) has officially transformed its five-year-old SheHacks programme into a national movement aimed at promoting women's empowerment in technology and digital entrepreneurship. This initiative seeks to address the persistent gender gap in these fields, fostering an inclusive, sustainable, and collaborative environment.
The launch of SheHacks 2025 marks a significant milestone in this journey, embodying the #UnlockingShe campaign. This year's campaign is dedicated to unlocking potential, access, and opportunities for Indonesian women, enabling them to thrive and make meaningful contributions to the digital ecosystem.
Indosat chief legal officer of Indosat, Reski Damayanti emphasised the programme's evolution: “SheHacks is no longer just a programme. It is now a movement—a movement to dismantle the barriers that prevent women from dreaming, creating, and leading.

"Through SheHacks 2025 and #UnlockingShe, we aim to build a broader and more inclusive space for women to innovate, empower each other, and drive real change.” Reski Damayanti
Collaboration remains a cornerstone of SheHacks 2025. Indosat has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UN Women, reinforcing a joint commitment to create an ecosystem that empowers women. This partnership extends to various strategic allies, including the Australia Indonesia Institute (AII) and nine other key organisations.
Over the past five years, SheHacks has spurred more than 30,000 innovative ideas and technology-based solutions from women across Indonesia. Behind this impressive figure lie stories of resilience: women in rural communities launching digital businesses, students developing solutions for disabilities, and women's collectives challenging stereotypes to establish safe digital spaces.
With the #UnlockingShe campaign, Indosat urges government, private enterprises, communities, and individuals to join in opening doors for access to technology and leadership opportunities for women.
“When one door opens, thousands of women will walk through and drive change with purpose,” stated Reski.
Indosat believes the strength of this movement lies in its sustainability and collaboration, aiming to create an open space for Indonesian women to innovate and grow together.
“SheHacks is a space where women encourage each other, learn together, and become change-makers. We believe that Indonesia’s digital future can only be realised when everyone has an equal opportunity to contribute, including women,” Reski concluded.
