Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced significant expansions to its HPE Aruba Networking portfolio, introducing new distributed services switches and enhanced wired and wireless capabilities. These innovations are designed to meet the growing demands of AI, IoT, and high-performance computing across Southeast Asia.
The new HPE Aruba Networking CX 10K distributed services switches feature built-in programmable data processing units (DPU) from AMD Pensando, enabling organisations to offload security and network services. This enhancement allows for more efficient processing of complex AI workloads while doubling the performance capabilities of previously deployed solutions.
Phil Mottram, EVP and General Manager of HPE Aruba Networking, remarked, “Data-fueled AI and IoT are driving unprecedented demands for connectivity. HPE is raising the bar with innovations that simplify data centre connectivity at ten times the scale and performance, and one-third the cost of traditional solutions.”2
Among the key offerings are the HPE Aruba Networking CX 10040 smart switch and four new CX 6300M campus networking switches. These products provide faster data speeds suitable for enterprise IoT and AI applications, all within a compact footprint. Additionally, new Wi-Fi 7 access points have been introduced to enhance indoor and outdoor connectivity, improving service quality for data, voice, and video communications.
Mark Ablett, vice president for Asia Pacific & Japan, noted the region's rapid growth in connectivity, with projections of 400 million 5G connections by 2025. This surge necessitates robust digital infrastructure to support innovation and economic growth.
Soni Jiandani, Senior Vice President at AMD, highlighted the partnership's impact: “Together with HPE, we’re delivering solutions that combine advanced DPU technology with data centre networking, enabling secure, scalable services for enterprises at a fraction of the cost of legacy solutions.”
The advancements also include enhanced security features, such as built-in firewalling and in-line encryption, which are critical as organisations face increasing cybersecurity threats. The integration of application-aware networking allows enterprises to tailor policies for AI and IoT data, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
HPE's commitment to powering enterprises through these innovations positions them strategically to meet the evolving needs of IoT and operations leaders in Southeast Asia, driving efficiency and security in an increasingly connected world.
