As the landscape of work continues to evolve, organisations in Asia are increasingly recognising the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI).

According to IDC, agentic AI is projected to double workforce productivity by 2027, signalling a pivotal shift from initial experimentation with AI to its integration into everyday operations.

This transition presents functional leaders with both challenges and opportunities as they seek to leverage AI for measurable business outcomes.

Fan Ho

Lenovo recently unveiled its AI-Enabled Workforce portfolio, integrating new agentic AI capabilities across its devices and services. "Agentic AI is redefining how work gets done," said Fan Ho, executive director and general manager, Asia Pacific solutions and services group at Lenovo.

This suite aims to assist organisations in deploying digital agents that streamline workflows, automate tasks, and support smarter decision-making within secure frameworks. By relieving teams of routine responsibilities, organisations can focus on higher-value activities, ultimately enhancing productivity.

The demand for AI-driven solutions is underscored by the significant return on investment reported from generative AI implementations, where for every dollar spent, companies are realising returns of approximately four dollars. This trend emphasises the necessity for leaders to strategically invest in AI capabilities that deliver tangible results.

However, the integration of AI is not without its complexities. Security concerns remain a top priority, especially as the adoption of AI agents introduces new vulnerabilities.

A recent report indicates that over 60% of IT leaders feel unprepared to manage the risks associated with AI, highlighting a need for robust security measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.

Charlie Hutcherson

"Digital threats are evolving alongside political instability," noted Charlie Hutcherson, insurance analyst at GlobalData, underscoring the importance of proactive security strategies.

To address these challenges, Lenovo's portfolio offers a comprehensive approach that includes training, support, and sustainable technology solutions. By combining devices, services, and lifecycle management, companies can create a resilient foundation for their workforce.

Tom Butler

"Every employee benefits from devices that learn and adapt to how they work," stated Tom Butler, vice president of commercial portfolio and product management at Lenovo.

As AI continues to reshape the future of work, leaders must remain vigilant and proactive. Investing in AI solutions not only fosters a more productive workforce but also strengthens organisational resilience against emerging threats. The journey towards an AI-enabled workforce is not merely about technology—it is about transforming the way work is done, ultimately driving innovation and growth in a rapidly changing world.
