The Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA or Beijing E-Town) is accelerating the construction of a national robotics industry innovation hub.
E-Town will focus on critical technological advancements, tackling key segments of the robotics industry chain. It supports collaborations between enterprises, universities and research institutes to establish common technology platforms.
In humanoid robots, E-Town is leveraging the Embodied Intelligence Robotics Innovation Centre to drive breakthroughs in areas like prototypes, general-purpose models, motion control, and open-source software.
E-Town will implement 50 demonstration projects to expand the application of robots across industries like manufacturing, healthcare, education, and emergency response.
Strategies include building a 250,000 sqm robotics industrial park, establishing a 10-billion-yuan government investment fund, and cultivating robotics talent through industry-education integration.
E-Town aims to establish a domestically leading and internationally advanced robotics industry cluster, creating a "Beijing model" for the robotics sector.
