PouchNATION has improved its guest check-in process by integrating Zebra Technologies’ scanning solutions, achieving an 83% reduction in check-in times. This development aims to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction at large-scale events across Southeast Asia.
PouchNATION, which provides cashless point-of-sale (POS), guest management, and access control solutions, faced challenges with traditional camera-based QR code scanning systems. These systems often struggled in low-light conditions or with damaged tickets, causing delays and operational inefficiencies during busy events.
To address these issues, PouchNATION implemented Zebra’s TC27 mobile computers, compatible with their NFC-based ticket validation system. This integration has allowed for quicker and more reliable ticket scanning, reducing the time taken from up to 6 seconds to approximately 1-1.5 seconds per ticket. According to CEO Koen van Geene, this improvement is significant when processing large crowds, such as those at concerts.
Zebra’s scanning technology maintains consistent performance under various conditions, making it a practical solution for high-traffic environments. The rugged design of these scanners enables event staff to manage queues more effectively, contributing to reduced waiting times for attendees.
Christanto Suryadarma, vice-president of sales in Southeast Asia and South Korea for Zebra Technologies, noted that PouchNATION’s implementation of their scanning solutions reflects a broader commitment to improving operational efficiency in event management.
Overall, PouchNATION’s integration of Zebra’s technology aims to streamline the check-in process, making it more efficient and enhancing the experience for attendees at large-scale events.
